Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is an intermitted and repetitive obstruction of the upper respiratory tract that completly (apnea) or partially (hypopnea) blocks the breathing airflow during sleep. The syndrome varies according to the degree of relaxation of the tongue and soft palate muscle. The most common treatment for OSA is Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP). CPAP devices can give a constant air pressure to your upper respiratory tract through a nasal mask. This constant air pressure can keep your airway open during sleep and prevent the OSA. This device permits to regulate the ramp time. This allows the patient to fall asleep comfortably while the air pressure reaches slowly the right level for the treatment. The user compliance meter records the total system’s operating time for physician’s reference. WARNING! Some functioning parameters are preset according to common therapeutic requirements. We recommend to let your doctor or qualified personnel check any variation.
